    Hi Guys,

We have a rooster about 2 years old, and he started to crouch over and not just when we are around. He also moves quite slowly. So he isn't like his usual self. He is the only rooster in the coop with 12 hens. Any idea what could be wrong with him,?

Welcome to BYC. A good overall physical exam might be in order. Does he have any respiratory symptoms? Is he walking on his hocks or elbows? Look at his feet and legs for any swelling, redness, and any dark spots on his foot pads. Feel of his crop to tell if it is empty, full, hard, or soft. Look at his vent and surrounding skin for lice or mites, or anything unusual. Feel of his keel bone or breast for weight loss. Look at his droppings,by confining him to a cage on paper towel. Add electrolytes and vitamins to his water and make sure that he is drinking. Offer some chopped egg or tuna to his usual feed. Have you added any new birds recently?

Hi, thank you so much for the answer. No, we didn't add any new birds. He doesn't walk on his hicks or elbows. I will definitely look at his legs and feet and see the crop and the poo.[IMG] Will get back once checked everything. Thanks again and have a nice day.
