I agree, if your city or county ordinances states no roosters, you risk losing your whole flock. Depending on how hard-a$$ed the ordinance officer is. Plus like the PP stated, you are risking others enjoying the fun of having a back yard flock.Harsh, but gotta say it.
Are you willing to lose your whole flock and maybe pay a fine....
...and have others nearby lose their ability to keep females as the rules state??
