Rooster crowing issues.....

I notice my banties crow more than the standard and the younger ones crow more often. My little sebright crowed constantly for about 2 months, drove my husband insane because he was in the house all winter. My first time using an incubator and I hadn't thought about it being too cold for the little guys to go outside, oops. Once his girl started laying he quieted down quite a bit. With maturity sometimes comes less crowing.
There is an operation to de-crow them but from what I have heard it is expensive and very dangerous, most vets won't even consider it.

I agree the crowing is just their nature and it is a good sign they are healthy and happy! Rehome them if you don't like it!

I love to hear my roo's crowing!

I've had that same rooster for four days now...still no crowing :-( Why do they crow? I know for the morning light obviously, what else? to show dominance, when they want to mate, when they're happy?... I'm just trying to figure out why the big guy isnt crowing. he used to at his old home...
