So at 19 weeks he's figured it out! I heard him once last week & again today. He was showing off for my husband who was home for lunch, so crowed multiple times. But that's been it so far for the day. So at least not being annoying with it...yet.Mine's 14 weeks old & I haven't heard him even try to crow yet.I'd LOVE to entertain the idea that maybe he's not a male, but I'm also pretty sure that ship sailed a long time ago! Attached pics of him at 5-6 weeks & then again today. Really is a good boy & has really grown on me. So maybe he's just gonna be a much quieter male!
Hey...a girl can dream...![]()
Beautiful boy, i too was hoping 2 of my chics were not boys but they were. Ugg! I had to rehome them & It hurt because they were hatched in my kitchen. I have one huge boy that takes care of everyone and is mild mannered. Yes he’s loud but so far the Neibor’s are not complaining! So at 19 weeks he's figured it out! But he is annoying the hens (approx 16-17 mos old). He's started trying to mate them & they are NOT having it! When he tries to mount one the other 3 run at him & attack him, if needed, until he runs off.
& so it begins.Praying they figure it out & settle down soon! The boy needs to work on his charm & romancing skills it seems!
