My rooster was crowing away this morning. I went to check for eggs just now and he was laying down on the coop floor all by himself. He didnt move till I got right beside him. I then noticed he was falling asleep standing up. His eyes would close and his head would drop slowly toward the ground. After researching online I went back out to look him over. He put up a good chase but sounded like he was wheezing a little right afterward. It didnt last long. His vent has a little yellowish poo, comb is red, eyes are clear, no drainage. I isloated him and hes very upset about it. What should I do? What could this be??? Please Help

ETA.. he was only wheezing after the chase. And its also very very hot here in Texas. Also, no lice or mites were found

Heat would be a concern. A few times, I have taken a heat victim and put a cage in my bedroom with food and water and vits and elytes, and see. Give the other chickens ice in their water.

Thank you so much for your reply! He perked up after I seperated him and put him in the shade. I gave him some yogurt and cool water. That was scary!!! I was really worried.
