First of all, I have my 2 roos separated because they have fought before and 1 of them is my project rooster. My 13yr old son feeds the chickens in the mornings and usually remembers to latch the project run door. Friday, he forgot to latch the door. The wind blew the door open and Wattles (daddy) went into the run and kicked his boy's butt. I came home from work about 5pm and my husband said I had some more work to do before I sat down. He told me what happened and that he didn't know if Ralphie had an eye. I went down to the project run, it had been raining all afternoon. I found Ralphie huddled in the corner of the coop soaking wet, caked in mud and pine shavings. I couldn't see his right eye but it was all very bloody over there. I brought him in the house. Flushed out his eye with eye wash, got a blood clot out. His eye is still there, it was all cloudy due to corneal swelling. Great. I got some Neo-Poly-Bac ophthalmic ointment and goobered him up good. Then he got a warm shower to wash out the mud and shavings. He loved the blow dryer afterwards!
He spent 2 days in the house in a dog kennel. He was just dyin to get back outside. He only has the 2 Cornish X rescues in his run now. The others left when the door blew up and the fight occurred. They are so timid. I put ointment in his eye 4 times a day and flushed twice a day for the last 2 days. I flushed it this morning and put a good dose of ointment in there before taking him back outside. He was so happy! He ate and drank right away, wasn't doing that very well in the house. I had to cover the lower half of the run because as soon as he crowed, his daddy came running over to harass him. I had to chase him off several times.

Anything else I should be doing for him?

Ralphie several weeks ago, before someone started picking his neck feathers (she went to the farm though)

Ralphie after his butt kicking, good eye

Ralphie's very swollen right eye

Run covered up, put chairs in front of the door so we could still get in but he wouldn't be bothered
