I can’t even put this into words I just don’t know if he’s going to be okay. This was him before and after the fight. I don’t want to get into details about the fight I just need help in healing this beautiful creature. He’s a gentle giant and was challenged by my Silkie Roo, who jumped over and under him pecking at him consistently Kurt got some bites in to I could tell from the feathers but ( he either didn’t really want to hurt him ((I’d love to think)) or he just nipped him and Chippie was just too quick for him l. I ran outside and found him lying down in defeat as Chippie pecked him. I don’t know how long he was laying there for but buy the end of the (horrible day) I had him drinking eating and walking around with the hens, he was obviously exhausted his face looks swollen, his eye looks swollen I’m concerned about his eye. Does it look like it’s been pecked? I’m concerned about everything. I cleaned him up the most I could Chippie too who was drenched in blood ( I believe from Kurt’s comb witch is half the size of Chippies body. Chippie is fine I’m just worried about this guy here he’s very special to me and I’d take any kind of input advice please

This was taken within days of each other **

I'd put some neosporin (without pain relief) on his comb. Aside from having his buns (or in this case his comb) served on a silver platter and his ego deeply bruised, and going by just the picture and your description of what happened, I think he's gonna be just fine. A bit further down in the pecking order, but I believe he'll heal nicely. Just like humans, chickens bleed heavily when their heads are injured, a small wound can make for a big bloody mess without serious damage having been sustained.

I think he looks like he will mend up fine. It just looks like he has a lot of bloody bruising, but his comb does not look ripped or anything. His eye looks clear as far as what I can see from the picture. You can look up closer and just make sure none of the clear lens of his eye has been scraped or ripped. I would just spray Vetrx on his wounds and make sure he doesn’t get any infections. Vetrx also makes an a ophthalmologic solution specifically for the eye.

Keep your boy separated from all other birds. Either the sight, smell or taste of blood may trigger an attack mode from your other birds. He doesn't need any more stress right now. Just keep doing what you've been doing and hope for the best. He should be alright. They adapt to problems much better than we do. Put him in his own cage and look at the Chicken Health Products/Antibiotics at Tractor Supply if you have one. They sell all kinds of medications for Chickens. Do not let him get any flies on him with open wounds. Keep on doing what you are doing, and I hope he gets better soon, so you can get some rest too!
