My Rooster(Red Sexlink, name Sir Henry) is about a year old and I think got into a fight with a rat. He is huddled in corner and wont let me clean his face. I see no visible wounds/gashes but I do see caked blood. It seems the ploomage is caked with blood and dirt. I looked around the run and see the walls are intact with no visible damage but I do see rat holes. So i believe he got into it with a Rat. Today I will try to clean him up but as I am a new rooster owner I am not sure what to do. He sits there away from other chickens and looks completely defeated. My wife and I are very distraught as he has grown on us and our family.

Any and all advice are GREATLY APPRECIATED! :)

That sounds pretty drastic for a rat, but they can attack poultry so I wouldn't be surprised- are you sure you can't see any wounds? He may be in shock, put him somewhere safe, ideally quiet, warm and dark/dim.
Just a heads up, this thread was accidentally posted in the incubation/hatching section, you'll get better replies if you post in the emergency section.
I'll tag someone who might be able to help @TwoCrows

Get some Chlorhexidine, preferably not in an alcohol solution. Hibiscrub would do if you can get it where you are..

If you can't see blood dripping anywhere then leave him until roost time and check him over then. If he's bleeding profusely then you'll need to deal with that sooner. If he gets stressed his heart beats faster and this makes him bleed more so calm is the keyword here.
If he has had a scrap with a rat and he has been bitten then a triple antibiotic ointment should be applied to the cuts after cleaning with the Chlorhexidine. Rats bites are prone to cause infections so when you check him over make a proper job of it.
He's going to be pissed off for a while and this is normal.

Its possible this is a rat, other birds could do this as well. How many other birds do you keep? What breed is he and breeds of the others?

You definitely need to bathe off the wound areas to see what's actually going on. Apply ointments if needed.

Do you have a photo?

Hello
He is a Red Sexlink
The others are Red Sexlink Buff Orpingtons and two Easter Eggers
We did the warm bath (Which he did not like) and as I held him my wife wiped off and cleaned the dirt and his face and his comb. There were no wounds just a slight nick on his neck. Currently I have him outside the coup in a makeshift coup, so no one bothers him. He is very lethargic, and his head is dropped down like he is fighting off sleep, Every now and then he pops his head up and looks around. I will get a picture shortly
Thanks for the help! I REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!!!

Can you post a picture of his head/ face? Is he your only rooster? What are you doing about the rat holes?
I can get one for you shortly as I needto clean the coupt. In regards to the rat holes we plan on having a company redcue their population. After I plan to fill in the hole and I was thinking about putting p stone down
