Rooster has diaper rash or ??

I have an Ameracauna Rooster 1 yr with a very red butt all around his vent. He eats well and seems to be OK. I originally thought he rubbed himself raw on the hens but after isolating him, he has not healed. Any info on this is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like mites. Has he been treated for external parasites?

I dusted him with DE today for possible mites. He is the only one out of 25 chickens that has this problem. Will see what the DE does. Thanks for the advise.
