rooster has missing feathers and redness on neck

this is my rooster George. he is missing feathers on his neck and now his wing and the skin on his neck is red.

he is a road island red mix.
he is about 5 years old.
he seems to be behaving normaly.
he doesnt seem to have any wounds or injurys.
he has been eating normally - laying pellet and grain, vegetable scraps, shell grit and water.
i have hens.

is this moulting or some kind of problem?

Naked chicken skin isn't golden brown

it turns red.
Looks like he's moulting to me also.

also did you notice the jagged look of the pin hairs on his wing, is that ok?

Yes, they can look really motheaten when they're having a hard moult...
Give him a little bit of catfood for extra protein. Or mealworms.
