Rooster head injury now having seizures! Supplement ideas?

Could you post a video of your bird? I am having some issues with my silkie roo… was thinking wry neck but I am not convinced.. to me it does seem like seizures… and his symptoms sound very similar to yours. I am giving vitamin B and E but it is difficult to get him to eat because when I hold him he almost goes into a trance like state… but then snaps out of it for a second to take a few bites of food. It seems as though his depth perception is off also… he is happy out in the yard so I have been letting him be and yesterday I decided to let him sleep in the coop and saw him trying to get to a roost but tumbled down the ladder😟 poor lil guy. Can anyone tell me how to administer CBD??? 🙏🏻
Don’t forget to add 50mgs of selenium… B complex is best as your chook needs B1
I bought selenium and split the capsule in 4 as it was 200mgs. For the B complex I was giving nutritional yeast.
The amount of CBD usually depends on the potency.
Start low and work up watching your Chooks reaction. Start with 2 drops and go from there
I was looking for a vid on this form that showed how to administer meds orally but I couldn’t find it so hopefully someone else will post it for you. 🤞

Where do you get CBD from and is there a certain one used for this purpose? I know nothing about it…
And thank you very much ❤️

Cbd is cbd but there are different strengths… just make sure you buy from a reputable source/brand. If you’re able to get Charolette’s Web CBD it’s the best for seizures but I’ve never gotten that just grabbed what our reserve had

My Rhode Island boy falls to the ground, head goes down, and wings go flailing for about 10 seconds, if you can imagine that. They’re full-blown seizures, he’s had them for a year, we are presuming from Mareks. They are controlled with a seizure medication called zonisamide. We do give him CBD also, but it must be clean of any other ingredients. He also gets supplements and other fresh foods, like which is critical for his nervous system. I think that’s why he’s still alive. We bring him into a padded crate nightly. He gets watermelon for hydration until he’s back outside the next day with his girls, and able to drink on his own.

If you can, keep your roo separate right now for safety, and bring your roo into the vet as soon as possible for an evaluation and diagnosis. I’m happy to answer further questions.

Hmm if he’s still seizing he may need a larger dose of CBD… in my experience with Chooks and other animals works better then anything given by vets. You can also give black seed oil, turmeric and cayenne pepper
