ROOSTER HELP IF YOU CLICK ON THIS PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING THANK YOU I NEED HELP AND SOON

Get a squirt bottle, make sure the nozzle is shooting straight & not spray, squirt him when he comes after you. You may want to reconsider keeping him as your breeding Rooster, wouldn't want to carry on the trait.

Good suggestion.

I read on here where a girl took an aggressive roo and gave him a bubble bath in front of his flock of hens!

They said it worked and the rooster quit being aggressive towards her daughter.

Blow out a couple of eggs fill them with mustard cayenne and a drop or two of dish soap tape the ends off place the eggs in the box might want to mark them so you will know which eggs are the "nasty" eggs and sit back and watch

so when your egg eater goes to break the egg she gets a mouthful of yummy nasties

Oh once again REHOMING KILLING GETTING RID OF ROCKY IN ANY WAY IS NOT AN OPTION WE HAVE A FOX PROBLEM AND WE NEED ROOSTERS PROTECT OUR HENS THANK YOU
A rooster won't help with a fox problem. We had a fox problem that didn't end until our neighbor shot it while it was in his chicken pen. I would suggest isolating the rooster for about a week. we did this with some of our roosters, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Whatever you do, never back down. I've had my roosters get aggressive with me as well, I chase them and they get the idea.
I use a fishing net on a long pole to catch various chickens when I need to and many times I've caught those roosters with that net to isolate them or switch pens. Now when I have a rowdy rooster I only need to pick up the net, as soon as they see it, they they settle down.

I had an aggressive Rooster. I did not kill or re home him and he was good to the girls but was taken out by a fox. I would not enter the run without cowboy boots and a walking stick. If he attacked me the cowboy boots protected my feet and ankles from his spurrs. I did catch him one night and Trimmed his spurs - I was not prepared for them to bleed but got corn starch on them. I used dog nail clippers - his spurrs were long and hard to cut. I trimmed them twice. So sometimes I walked in the run and pointed at him to let him know I was boss. Sometimes he would attack me from behind. I gave him a few swift kicks and later I would simply alternate raising my feet and let him attack until he was too tired and then I would pick him up and carry him around the run. I tried being nice to him, I tried mentally projecting I was the boss. I did everything I could not to provoke him. He made life hard and then His son and he got into it and son of Raz became the boss. Razz never bothered me after that and just when I started to like him again, the fox got him. I have had plenty of other very sweet roosters who were wonderful and never once bothered me. I think freezer camp is the best solution along with a good coque vin recipe however, I understand that you are not interested in that solution. Get some great boots, trim his spurs and never turn your back on him.

Hope that helps
Caroline
