Rooster? Hen?

This chicken sexing is so difficult

Yep. That's why most of my chickens that I order at our local Co-op are the autosexing breeds so I don't have to worry about it.

I mainly have ISA Brown (autosexing) chickens these days. They are not the most interesting-colored birds, but they are great egg layers. And that is the main reason we have them.

Any chances of it being a Hen??

Looks like a rooster to me, too. Nice looking bird. Can you keep roosters where you live, or are you only interested in hens?

Supposed to be a starlight green egger.....looks like legbar? Not sure. Any chances of it being a Hen?? It's not crowing, I have another that looks identical and he is already crowing. This chicken sexing is so difficult 🤦‍♀️ I'm thinking rooster...
That is indeed a male. He’s beautiful!
If I'm not mistaken I think leghorn breed is in starlight green egger breed? Idk though. I have tried to research but not a lot about that breed....came from tractor supply
You are correct about what they say. They have the Starlight Egger as a cross between their Bluebell Egger and a brown egg laying breed. Their Bluebell Eggers are a mix between White Leghorn and Ameraucana. I wouldn’t be surprised if they threw in a Legbar instead of a Ameraucana for the blue egg laying gene.

Thank you!
