Rooster holds his wings Out!

Does he hold them out all the time, or just when walking or....?
He could be having trouble with his balance, or he could be cooling off.

Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Here's how to add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

No he doesn't do this all the time. But he does it sometimes. This behaviour is very new though. He started doing this recently.

If he is doing it only when it's hot, all you can do is provide him with a cool place.

I have deep shade (juniper hedge) that is watered thoroughly each morning. My chickens dive under it to dust bathe and cool off in the afternoon. When it's really hot, they get over their disgust of water and set under the misters in my rabbit shed.
