Rooster hurting one hen...help

I'd take him out. Physically or literally, which ever you can stomach.

It would be easy to remove him to a pen or dog crate with food and water. Give the hens a break. I do not tolerate a rooster who is rough on or who picks on a hen. And please do not kick him. That is not helpful. Remove him from the flock. Give him some time away from them. Later, you could try him again with the hens, and if he hasn’t improved his behavior rehome him or butcher him. I love having a rooster in my flock, but only one who is nice to me and the hens.

Thank you all for your advise. Mr Roo has been removed, he will no longer be a problem. Still working on my girl to feel safe to leave the hen house.

If he is aggressive towards you, that needs to stop! Start by next time he is chasing. jumping, or showing any aggression towards you, kick him, hard. We did this with our rooster and he immediately stoped. Now, to help with you hen, I would order some Vetrycin on amazon if you don't already have some, and spray it on her wound. Next order her a chicken saddle, to keep him form pulling out her feathers. Finally, order some painless peepers to put on him. They will keep him from being able to see straight forward, and that means he will lay off mounting you hen. I twount salve the whole problem, but will provide her some realeaf. Until they come separate him from the flock.

The elastic goes over the wings on the very closest part of the wing to the body. You can also make one yourself. This is what I used. It works great!

There are so dang many roosters in the world, that there is zero need to tolerate an aggressive or harmful one.
