Hi,
I'm new to BYC and to raising chickens. We had ten day-old chicks arrive mid-April. We carefully selected 7 different breeds for a variety of color, both in chickens and eggs. We lost one recently to the heat (we think). She was dead one Saturday morning with no sign of illness the day before (and it's been in the 90s).

I am now wondering if one of our chickens is a rooster. I've attached two pictures. This chick was our "surprise/bonus" chick. She is a Dark Brahma and is larger and more aggressive than our others.

Anyone want to give their thoughts?

thanks!
