I'm with you on the fireworks. Around here, the fireworks are not restricted to just one night. Private citizens buy fireworks and start setting them off days before the 4th, then continue for days after. They set them off in the middle of the afternoon, late at night, rain or shine. When you have dogs that are terrified by the random sudden explosions of noise, it breaks your heart for them. The noise from the sanctioned fireworks displays are not nearly as frightening for them as the radom, close by, fireworks of neighbors.People get strange notions. There are quite of few people I'd liked to silence (in a non-thug like terminology), made to move far away so I don't have to listen to them. I live in a village. All the neighbours love hearing my cockerel doing his thing. It is calming. Nature has rights.
I can't stand fireworks. Not anymore. I could sit and listen to birds all day.![]()
