Rooster in mourning?

I have a rooster that has (overnight) become very lethargic. He lived with a single hen who passed away yesterday (from old age-she was 13!).

Is it possible that he’s given up the will to live? I’ve offered him his favorite food, and he doesn’t appear to even notice.

I think mourning is possible. Flock animals don't like solitude. I would offer scrambled eggs and cuddles if he is a pet. Sorry to hear about your hen and hope your rooster perks up.
