Rooster in the nesting box!

I just have to share this photo I took yesterday. I was looking for eggs and caught my rooster, Blu, in the nesting box!! I guess he was trying to show my new layers the best place to lay or maybe he has some gender identity issues.

HA!!! What a hoot! My li'l Belgian d'Anver roo does the same thing. -cracks us up every time.......and it doesn't help that the kids named him "Babsie", either.....

My little millie fleur d'ccle rooster always steals a nap every day in a different nest box while the big roo is out on patrol.

Blu is my first roo, so I was pretty surprised when I found him! I to am glad to hear he's not the only one! Now if only I could convince him to go broody...

He's just keeping it warm for them? It is priceless!! Wouldn't want the girls setting on stiff bedding.
