Rooster keeps attacking my feet.

I have a little old English game bantam named kiwi who is, for the most part, a very sweet rooster. I can go out there and sit and and he'll hop up on my lap and I can pet him and I'll give him a treat and he'll immidiatley give it to the nearest hen, but when I stand up its like my feet are the enemy! He starts pecking them like crazy! I pick him up by his legs and let him hang for a while and set him down and for the rest of the day he's just fine and friendly as ever, but every day I go through this just once. After I "punish" him, he stops for the day. Why does he find it
necessary to try and kill my feet?

If simply pecking, then he may be try to solicit you to provide food. If aggression, then he will produce particular sounds as well.

Your tiny tot is simply being a rooster. As he ages he might grow more aggressive. However, some roosters mellow as they age. My roosters have to settle flock dynamics every morning. They go through the morning scrabble, sort out whose boss for the day, and go about their business. Apparently those little brains are just for mating, eating and protection. Be careful while your guy in your lap. He may one day go for your face.

Will do. He's just as gentle as can be until he sees my feet walking around. I can pick him up, hold him, pet him, he eats out of my hand, no problem. I've had roosters that were just mean and didn't like people what so ever, but never a rooster like Kiwi. Maybe it's karma coming back to me for making fun of my cousin for being chased away by him a couple weeks ago

It's the funniest thing because he's so tiny haha

This may sound silly... but what particular sounds? My 5month old Easter egger has started puffing up and biting my feet and making a "hhmmmmm" kinda sound when he does it. I'm just not sure if he's impatiently wanting treats or if he's beginning aggressive behavior.
Any input will be greatly appreciated!
