I have started to notice that my RRR rooster seems to be chasing my other RRR out of the coop in the mornings and I am not sure why. This other RRR may or may not be a rooster as well, it is smaller than the rooster and has a smaller comb but still looks like a rooster. Any ideas about this? thanks for the help.

Chasing is a mating behavior and boys are especially randy first thing in the morning. But the gals aren't always willing parties so they run. Especially if they are new to it.

Since you aren't 100% sure of gender, I'm guessing they are still pretty young. The term for chickens under a year old is cockerel or pullet. After a year then they become hen and rooster (or cock). Teenagers are the worst, sounds like you've git hormones kicking in and what's going on sounds pretty normal.

Care to post pics so we can see gender? What is their age? :pop

The 2 RRR are 5 months old. I am not sure if they are both cockerels or not. If you look at my profile pic both of the RRR are in it. We got rid of the black one in the photo. Thanks for the advice.

finally got a pic! am really hoping it is a female lol
