They are both Ayem Cemani. I do have an assorted 9 chickens, but those two are the same. I will post pictures later, im at work and shes hopefully resting at home.Sorry for your henWhat type of chickens are they? Could you post some pics of the hen?
I understand you like the rooster but if you like your hens, he has to go!I see a lot of comments to kill the roo. The thing is... he's been the best, most kind roo I've ever had. I don't see why he's doing this to 1 hen.
Roosters will mate with hens and are fairly aggressive. I would probably get rid of him if he was that aggressive with one hen. I hope she recovers !I went out to feed the chickens this evening and one of my girls was missing a lot of feathers and was fairly bloody on the back of her head and neck. I wasn't sure what happened when suddenly the roo attacked her twice and I could see blood flowing from the back of her neck. I raced in to save her and noticed chunks of skin missing. Poor thing was still out there trying to eat her dinner like that. So in put her in our containment pen in the barn. Not sure why my roo attacked. Anyone have any ideas
roosters can be so Brutal & mean. See a video where hens "play dead" so they don't have to be raped by themI went out to feed the chickens this evening and one of my girls was missing a lot of feathers and was fairly bloody on the back of her head and neck. He is a very aggressive roo, I would consider finding him a new home!I went out to feed the chickens this evening and one of my girls was missing a lot of feathers and was fairly bloody on the back of her head and neck. Just keep them separated. Don't kill your roo. You never know what happened. Anyone can be pushed to their breaking point...even a bird.I see a lot of comments to kill the roo. The thing is... he's been the best, most kind roo I've ever had. I don't see why he's doing this to 1 hen.
