Pred did it and roos just ate what they found. Not likely a 4-legged pred as not likely 2 roos could run one off, especially a coon. Roos were just in wrong place at wrong time and caught the blame. They will eat one of their own if a wound or blood is present. If one is just dead and no surface wound, far less likely to be eaten by other chooks. If it sat long enough tho, who knows?
