Not strutting, looks like a soldier lifting legs high and straight out with each step. Has anyone ever seen this?

If your roosters spurs are really long,he has to walk really high, otherwise he'll trip himself.

I think some neurological conditions such as Mareks disease may cause that. Has he had any falls or injuries? I would start some poultry vitamins in his water each day that include riboflavin, thiamine, and vitamin E, in case of a vitamin deficiency. Continue to watch him for any possible paralysis of either leg or wings, or other symptoms.

I have a rooster that does this also. I have 2 infact. Did he get worse or have other symptoms ? How is he now? I’m wondering if it’s genetic. Father and son do it.
