This is so true! My Silkie cockerel, Bowie, will literally walk over to the feeder and call the girls over because he "found food" for them.

Yep, I have 2 silkie roos and they are just so funny about it, I love watching them!

or my Silkie Chewie who pretends to find food just to get the girls close enough to try'n catch one. Lil turd!

I do like to watch my two good roo's when they are scratching around in the edge of the woods and really find goodies and call to their girls. Somtimes that makes the difference for a roo whether he goes in the coop or the freezer. That and how watchful they are. If they don't notice me till I flop the lid of the scratch can open they are a loser if they spot me nearly instantly as a come around the corner they are a good roo.
