Rooster Losing Tail Feathers

Hello everyone!
I'm hoping for some advice on my little man, Roo. Lately I've noticed that all of his beautiful, long tail feathers have started falling out. I know that they aren't being pulled out by my girls because I've actually seen a couple in the process of becoming "loose". He doesn't seem to be losing feathers anywhere else though. He is very healthy and active. He eats and drinks normally and there is any sign of parasites. What could possibly be causing this? Pretty soon he won't have any tail feathers left and even though I told him I love him even if he has a stumpy butt, he says he feels like he looks silly. He will be 1 year old on Halloween.

He is entering the heavy part of the molt. He has already been swapping out wing feathers for some time. Soon you will see accelerated replacement of body feathers. I keep protein levels in diet up around 20% during this time that can last 60 to 90 days.
