rooster not crowing yet

My 4 1/2 month old rooster is not crowing yet, is this normal? What age do they crow? The person we got him from says the rooster they have is the same age and has started crowing? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

It varies a lot, he's young yet, give him some time it will happen eventually and then you may wish he was quiet again!

Thanks for your input, I was just thinking about that same thing. Silence may be golden in the long run.
