Rooster not crowing???

My roo was raised with his brother.......at 5 months I gave the brother away - my roo did not crow for probably 6 months after that........he crows now but only in the morning a couple of times...........most ppl have told me that he quit cuz he had no one challenging him - being an only roo. I know I missed it when he didn't .........give him time he might start again.

If we could just bottle the rooster-without-a-crow recipe....we'd make a fortune! Silly me, I used to think roosters only crowed in the morning. I've got a couple of boys that trade off crowing time, starting at 1:30 in the morning...EVERY morning. You just learn to sleep through it. But then they crow throughout the day and into the night. It's like they've figured out that it's 5:00 somewhere...
