Rooster not crowing

I have a 13 week old cockerel who hasn't crowed yet. Is this normal?

Mine did not crow till he was 6 months.

Give 'm time... and you'll have crowing. Mine didn't start until he was well past 6 mos... and then you can't git'm to stop. Enjoy the silence while it lasts.

i dont know if this is true, but i heard that they need someone to listen to to learn from.

Mine doesn't crow yet, either. Not that I am waiting with baited breath or anything.

It will crow in it's own time. 13 is still young. I've had cockerals crow at 6 week (try to crow)
and others waited until 30.

Roosters do not need to be taught. It is instinctive.

Crowing is also done on the pecking order. We have had many a rooster that
didn't crow until we culled or rehomed the alpha roos.

They crow when they want to. He will when his time comes.
