A 1 year old rooster should not have spurs in excess of 1 inch. Caveat Emporium, the seller in my honest opinion saw you coming and took cruel advantage of you. Trimming up the butt fluff is often a necessary part of insuring a good hatch especially in fluffy bottom hens and roosters.
