Here's my 13 week old Buff Orpington named Barney.
He's starting to get girl crazy, but the girls aren't crazy about him. The girls gang up on him when he tries to force a hen. As he tries to learn manners, he has started nesting with the girls when they are laying. I don't think he realizes that laying time is quiet time.

I really like this idea since it’s also spreading awareness of the roosters in shelters.
That was mostly why I started this thread, I don't have the time or money to adopt all of them, but I might be able to spread awareness, and so many roosters can be saved. Cage life is no life for a rooster.

A lot of shelters that have multiple roosters keep them in bachelor pads, which I think is pretty neat.
I think that's cool, and a better way to keep homeless roosters. But some shelters keep them in cages. I have a soft spot for Leghorns, so I chose him, next week will for sure be a caged one!
