Rooster or hen bantam americauna?

She (he) is 8 weeks old, not very friendly compared with the two bantam cochins we got at the same time, and made a weird harsh sound this morning. Any help on whether we have a pullet or a gentleman?

Can you tell me what it is about her/him that says "rooster"?

I would say roo too. My Ameraucauna girls have very little tail and almost no comb. But they are standard size so maybe that's different.

It is a roo.

Pointed neck feathers, bright sheen to his dark feathers on wings, and pointed saddle feathers.

It is not an Americuana, it is an EE bantam you have there!

Ditto to the above. The redness of the comb is also a pretty good indicator at 8 weeks.
