Just wondering if anyone has a favorite sex for cornish x meatbirds, males or females.
I ordered all straight run but am wondering if I should go with all of one kind at some point.
Any pros or cons of each anyone wants to share?
I will do roasters and then cut some up for barbecuing, but I like to use the breasts for chicken parmesan and other dishes like that as well.
Is one better for parts and one better for roasters?
Thanks.

From what you said are your needs, you've ordered right. If you let them go around 8 weeks, some of the males will be nice roaster size and the females make great fryers. The females are usually a week or two behind the males. I just butchered str run's at eight weeks. Biggest was 6 3/4 pounds and smallest was 3 1/2 pounds. Average was 5.11.
