Hello! I have 2 EE pullets (at least they are supposed to be!) that are 7 weeks old today. I'm beginning to become concerned that Hazel (pictured) is actually Hansel. She is developing much differently than her sister, Karen, including being much larger and already developing her comb. However, Karen has a bad case of scissor beak and could be developing more slowly for that reason (though she is still able to eat and drink from a nipple waterer). Any advice on if Hazel is really a girl? Thank you!

Does the comb have one row of bumps or three? Males usually have 3 rows. I don't see obvious saddle or hackle feathers yet but EEs are hard. My EE from Cackle had a very red comb at 8 weeks.

I'm not 2 firmiliar with EEs, but yours looks like a pullet. My girls are all starting to develop combs now. Here is my Hazel(first pic) versus the rooster, Dragon. It may provide a comb reference point for 7 weeks.

I posted a pic of the comb. I can try and get a closer one if necessary.
