A red Red Sex Link is always going to be a pullet. The roosters are white with some red feathering. When they are chicks, the girls are yellow with buff on their backs and the boys are clear yellow.
My Red Sex Link roo, Charlie, at about 14 weeks old.
An 18 week old Red Sex Link, Ida, (on the far right) that has been laying brown eggs for about a week. She is from the same hatch as Charlie. The increased size and coloration of your pullet's comb and wattles are a sign that you'll be getting eggs from her soon!
Thank you kindly!![]()
