Too bad- what is it in particular that makes you think that?

The size and redness of the comb and the patchy red on the shoulders in particular. Does he have pointy hackle, saddle and sickle feathers yet?

No sickle feathers, probably yes on the hackles. If I can get a better pic, I'll post.

Red on the wings is an exclusively male trait. That's a cockerel, sorry.
