Rooster or hen ?

Maybe this can help identify the gender, my rooster stands really hight and she is low to the ground.
That is another good reason! Looks It is quite difficult to tell the difference between male and female silkie chicks because they take longer to mature than most other chicken breeds; however, once they are mature, males (roosters) and females (hens) do have some distinct differences including: roosters tend to be larger than hens, the comb will be larger on a male than on a female, and males will crow while females will lay eggs. So far looks like a hen. What size is the silkie's comb compared to the roosters comb?

The roosters comb is very large!

A rooster would already be crowing at about 1 year of age. By the look of the picture the comb is not like a roosters comb. Your rooster has more like a " brain comb" as I call it. The females combs are like a normal hen has pointy tips and not spread out over the head. What size is the silkie compared to the rooster?

Definitely not true, if there are more roosters then the less dominant rooster may not crow.
Also there are some roosters that are much slower to mature, my barred rock didn’t start crowing until 1 1/2 years.
