Rooster or Hen?

Hi,



One of my 21 wk Sussex has begun to act strangely. It's crowing, but has only started recently. We have another rooster the same age, but it's been crowing for a long time. Roo or Hen?

no I've never had nor heard of a hen crowing

post a pic, that would help and yes a hen can crow, it won't sound like a rooster though...lets see that pic and we can really tell

Yes, a hen CAN crow - but it's usually an older hen. At 20 weeks if it's crowing, I'm betting on rooster. A side view picture could confirm this.
