Rooster or Hen??

This Blue Wyandotte was sold to me as a hen, but I am starting to worry that those feathers might look like saddle feathers! She is about 6 months old.

Can someone reassure me that she is indeed a she? Sorry the pictures are not great. She would not hold still for me!

Im not a pro but usually the roosters have the red comb on their heads...so id say hen...

Okay, I am seeing a trend here! So those drooping feathers are nothing to worry about?

Nope. They're actually soft and rounded, I think the subtle lacing makes them look more defined than they really are. Long, pointy, shiny feathers are the kiss of death. I mean, rooster feathers!
