So Sad. My son saw a funny sign at a place he went to that said "chicks for sale - to vegetarians only" ha ha ha - I thought that was a cute one. I am sure you will find him a great place!!!!

I have a pair of SLW that are 16 weeks old. One on mine looked identical to yours, even the coloring, at that age. He started crowing about a week ago. SO far he only crows 3 - 4 times in the morning when I let them out of the coop and then again 3 - 4 times right before he goes back into the coop at night. His crowing is not very loud. I hope it stays this way. As long as we don't hear him in the house we will keep him. He his not aggressive to us. He is only aggresive to one hen. I think she is the lead hen. She is a very large Black Australorp.
