Rooster or not???

I am just curious as to when a rooster will begin to grow spurs. My birds are 8 weeks old now and I believe they are all hens but I guess you never know. I have looked at all of their little legs and dont see any signs of spur growth. Does anybody know at what age a chicken(rooster) will begin to grow spurs? This is my first time raising chickens and so far I am addicted!

My roos started crowing well before 8 wks,spurs not until later. if you post pictures here on BYC people will advise you as to which are cockerels and which are pullets.

I will post pics later on. I have definitely not heard any crowing goin" on at all.

hens grow little nubs to well mine do and all my other roosters grew their spurs months and months later i have a rooster that is about 4-6 months old and he only has little spurs still but he crows

Spurs come long after a number of reliable signs and aren't exclusively male anyway.
