Well everyone so far you've all been really helpful and correct with my first surprise Roo (https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/986942/7-week-old-ameraucana-roo-or-pullet#post_15347201).

Now for a second time I will ask the question: Am I a Roo or Pullet?

I am concerned about the light colored bird with brown on its back. She holds her head erect quite often, she bowls over her brother Roo sometimes from the linked thread above. Her legs are very thick and might have spur bumps on it. Finally, she is as large as our Roo and her fellow EE sisters are obviously smaller.

Her brother already crows and has a very red comb and tail but she hasn't crowed yet. I am thinking this one might be a late bloomer? I appreciate it again!

It sounds like it is probably a cockerel. How old is it? Does it's comb have one or three rows of peas in it (one row means pullet, three rows means cockerel). Can you post a pic of it. Trying to ID birds without a pic is a bit like shooting in the dark. If you can get a pic of it posted, we would be happy to take a look at your EE for you. :o)

Yep that's a rooster as well. He has the key red shoulder patches I look for in easter egger cockerels. With those patches alone I can say cockerel. We had a chick that started out silver. But once I saw the tan coming in on the wings... That's when I knew it was a cute little boy. So he went with three sexed pullets to a new home with a kind women to spend his life on eight acres. (We can have roos, but we don't have room for a hatchery grade easter egger mutt. We also have some of our own ameraucanaa, easter eggers, and olive eggers hatching... So we need that room.)

I'm glad you were able to get the pics posted, and I agree with PoultryQueen101; this EE is a cockerel as well. :o(

Weird to say I had an EE cockerel I hatched that grew up to look exactly like this one. His name was Bee and he was my best friend for a long time. The sweetest rooster I had ever met. Never harmed me and loved pics. He didn't get along with one of our dominant hens or else I might have kept him. I wasn't going to confine him to a cage for his whole life either. So him and his brother went together to sire a flock of hens. Lady just wanted one but said they were so pretty she took both. After that... I stopped picking favorites. Because they were always boys we couldn't keep.

It may be weird but my Roo looks like it has a single row on his comb. The light colored one looks like it's coming in the same, meaning a single row. The other EE in the pen don't show any signs on combs yet and have skinny legs. If I remember correctly they're 11-12 weeks old now. Again, thanks everyone! Ya'll are the greatest! I do anticipate keeping both Roo's. Worst case scenario get a No-Crow collar to keep neighbors happy!
