Rooster or Pullet????????????

a good way to tell is by the neck feathers. if they can be distinctively seen apart from the back and breast feathers and are a different color or pattern (Or both :p) then you most likely have a cockerel. but it may be a pullet because it is a americauna, which is very decorative no matter what gender:

Yes, do take a photo of all of them. There is a board here specifically for asking about the gender/breed and you'll find more help there but I assure you that I'm not mistaken about the two you've shown. Those aren't maybes.

Where did you get your "pullets"?

I got them from my local feed store. I checked all the wings for sexing, just to make sure....Apparently I have NO idea what I am doing...lolol I got them at 5 days old.

Sexing by wing feathers is only reliable on day-olds and only if they were bred for it. Easter Eggers (the more accurate term for the birds hatcheries market as Ameraucanas) are a mixed bag of genetics and would not likely be sexable by wing feathers.

The good news is that if they were hatchery-sexed as pullets, the accuracy runs about 90% so 2 males out of 8 would be unusually bad luck and the rest should (hopefully!) be pullets.

Well, we started with 14... We are currently trying to shoot 2 out of the 3 raccoons that are still trying to get the rest after we reinforced the coop 4 times (persistant dang animals)...Anyway, I thought they were from a hatchery but now I want to call and ask the feed store where they actually come from. At 2 bux a chick... its only my time and feed wasted.
