You have such a lovely rooster, don't cull him, he is just doing exactly nature intended him to do.
Trim his spurs and nails help reduce the damage to the hen's feather
Reduce the time the rooster spends with the hens.
Give him some alone time where he and his flock see each other through the fence.
Do not let the hens that are feather damaged near the rooster for awhile.
My rooster was very busy mating in the morning and late in the afternoon around 4pm time so I let him alone in the general garden at his high time of mating.
There were time he was alone for a few days in an adjacent run & in the general garden, he can see the hen through the fence.
He was busy for the first few days, after that he was not happy for being away from his flock so he crows, I let them join for a few hours and separate them again.
The tatted feather hen I do not let him near her for a most of the time so that she can recovered.
That what I did with my rooster and his flock. It went back and forward. It worked for us that way.
I also noticed that my rooster enjoy his time alone, he dirt bath, sunbath, and sat quiet under the tree, sometimes he came up the house pecking at our door. From that I believe he enjoyed his rest and quiet time.
I live in a suburban area so my backyard is not that big.
