Rooster passed, what is this?

My son just found our rooster dead, had been perfectly fine. No idea what happened, had this freakish yellow color stuff on his side, but we don’t know if it’s coincidence or a cause of death? We are due to go on vacation tomorrow PM, want to make sure we are not setting our pet sitter up for issues
Any input?

Those yellow things you see are fly eggs that will turn into maggots.
Was he thin or did he go off feed?

He was fine this am when I let them out, same as always ran for scratch I throw them. He’s never been a big bird; he looked deflated, but was a fairly hot day today, not sure when he passed. I had just gotten home from work when we found him

What have your temps been? He may of over heated.

We dropped down to mid 60 last week, jumped back to mid to upper 80, so not overly hot, plenty of fresh water and shade, so I don’t think so, but idk

Somee times chickens just die. He could of had a genetic problem. I wouldn't worry to much.
