I am aware that junglefowl were first domesticated to be fighting cocks. That doesn't change anything. If you tried to completely recreate gamefowl with a couple of junglefowl, a possible gamefowl mix, and an Easter egger, it would take an extremely long time, and they wouldn't turn out the same. It's better to create some sort of project breed with a lot of game in them, or to get purebred gamefowl and carefully breed in the traits you want while also keeping them as game as possible in other aspects.
The only gamefowl I have is an OEGB.
I'll share with you of the results of the project if you'd like?
I understand it'll take a long time to complete, but it's just the fun of it that counts.

@RoostersAreAwesome My Maran/GameFowl cross has new spurs growing under his first set of spurs.

He does have feathers on his legs, but they're short due to molt right now.
I think he may have Sumatra in him due to the extra spur growth.

It's a genetic defect that can be found in any breed. My Ameraucana cock had partial double spurs. Doesn't mean he had Sumatra or Gamefowl in him.
But it's rarely seen in most breeds, but, is most common in certain gamefowl breeds.
EEs, & Ameracana chickens actually have GameFowl genes in their backgrounds, that's why most have that sporty look to them. I read about the Ameracana chicken once before, I just don't remember where I read it, was like a year ago since I read that.
