I don't think "mixed in many generations back and then bred to a new standard" counts as "crossed with". JMO.But it's rarely seen in most breeds, but, is most common in certain gamefowl breeds.
EEs, & Ameracana chickens actually have GameFowl genes in their backgrounds, that's why most have that sporty look to them. I read about the Ameracana chicken once before, I just don't remember where I read it, was like a year ago since I read that.
