Rooster problems ahh

I have a 7 year old RIR rooster and and his son witch is all most a year old he is half RIR a quarter silkie and OEGB........I had at least 25 chickens this winter and a weasel kill all of them exsepted 2 hens and 2 rooster.........before they had no problem with eachother now since there are only 2 hens he HATES his son! is i get more hens will they stop this fighting or will this keep going on...........im afraid one is going to get hurt one of these days..........will more hens fix this problem or should i start another flock or should i start thinking about re homing his son???

Their is really nothing you can do if the fought once the want forget it. They will continue to fight even with more hens. I had the same probably some time back and the father and son fought once over food and after they couldn't stand to be around each other. So I had to find him a new home and hen everything was fine. Hope you figure out your problem sorry about that.

They might stop fighting. I had an old rooster and when my 2 male chicks grew up they almost killed him. After a few days apart, the fighting stopped. I think it depends on the situation. Be careful leaving them alone together, though. They really can kill each other.
