Rooster problems...

My landlord gave my son a rooster yesterday and he was bleeding some on top of the head (the red thing) I was told he got into a fight... looks like he did but the red thing is cut good and he also is shaking his head a lot. What do I do is it lice ear from the deep cut or mites (he is in a cage for evolution and he is goin to be separated from the rest of our chickens n roosters)

Blu-kote is a spray-on (or sometimes dab-on) ink-like antiseptic wound-care product that stains everything it touches bright blue. It's available everywhere livestock care items are sold.

How many hens and roosters do you have? Adding an adult male to a flock that already has one (or more) mature males often does not go well.
