He pooped like something fierce today. I had to wash his hiney. It was bad enough that he actually sat on his butt for most of the day, almost like a dog would. Never seen a chicken sit like that. I was kinda worried so I gave him sugar and electrolytes with a syringe which helped him perk up.

He actually filled up his crop for tonight so something happened. I think I quit giving the stool softener or oil too soon.

Oh I hope that has done it for him and he really starts to improve now!

I just checked him. He filled up his crop again and finally pooping brown consistantly so I'm going to let him go back to the coop. He was pooping green poop (grassy to start then green grainy looking poop near the end) for a long time with intermittent brown. That is another thing I should have waited for, that is for the poop to be consistantly brown as in passing chicken feed poops.

I noticed he likes to eat clover so he may be back in trouble before long. I'm going to lock them up in the run for a couple days so he will have to eat chicken feed.
